Current events
This year I wrote 2 current events posts (Ottawa shooting, Canada goes to war against Isis.)
Ottawa shooting:
One of the current event posts I did was the Ottawa shooting. The shooting happend on wednesday October 22, 2014. Micheal Zehaf -Bibeau, the shooter, went to Canada's national war memorial at around 10 am E.T. He shot Cpl Nathan Cirillo in the chest while he was guarding, and after shooting the reservist guard he hijacked a car and drove to the Parliament buildings. He then entered Centre block and started open fire. Sergeant-at-arms Kevin Vickers then shot him. This is one of the videos I had on my blog post.
Canada goes to war against ISIS:
This second current events blog post I did was when Canada wanted to send 6 fighter jets, and 69 soldiers, but only 29 were confirmed. At the house of commons on Tuesday October 7, Stephan Harper gave out a vote is Canada should go to war or not. The vote ended with 157-134.
