Haiti's tragic earthquake destroyed her home and school. But Wadley's desire to learn didn't stop her after the earthquake. One day while Wadley was fetching water she passed by a tent school where she saw some of her old classmates and her teacher. She ran straight home and told her mother about the new tent school, however her mother told her that they don't have any money for her to go to school.
Everyday she went to the tent school, even though the teacher sent her away. Although one day when Wadley went to the tent school her teacher asked her if her mother paid and she said no, she told her to leave but Wadley said, ''I will come back every day until I can stay."
Good paragraph Mahtab. Did Wadleys teacher finally let Wadley go to school?
ReplyDeleteThis is a great start, Mahtab. One of my favourite moments in this documentary is when Wadley told her teacher that she would come back everyday.
ReplyDeleteI'd like you to use subtitles to organize your post so that the reader can see different sections in your post. This way you will avoid a wall-of-text that usually scares off readers.
You will need to proofread your commas.
You retold part of Wadley's story in a clear and understandable way. Look at our class blog to check out the other requirements for this post.
Mahtab I like how you put some good facts about her but there were some parts that you need to fix...
ReplyDelete- passed by this tent (instead put passed by a tent)
-Yet that didn't stop her , everyday she should go to that tent school however her teacher sent her home because her mother hadn't paid the money for school (instead put everyday she went to the tent school, even though the teacher sent her away...)
